Social Program
For the participants of the TOOLS 2010 Federated Conferences a wide variety of social events have been planned, so that they can meet in a friendly and informal environment. Participants will have the opportunity to visit and explore some of the most interesting and historical parts of the host city, Málaga. The scheduled events are:
- Monday, June 28. Welcome Cocktail. - Málaga Town Hall 20:30
A welcome cocktail and finger buffet will be served in the Town Hall. The historic building was built in the early twentieth century, between 1911 and 1919, on an area of land which was originally covered by the sea. It is a beatiful spot, close to the city harbour and surrounded by the Pedro Luis Alonso and Puerta Oscura Gardens. It is also positioned at the foot of the old morish castle (the Alcazaba) and also the Gibralfaro castle. Picture 1, Picture 2.

This outing will be a very informal dinner in a typical beach restaurant, where a variety of local fried fish and seafood will be served, including the famous "espetos". These are sardines, skewered on a stick, grilled over a fire, in an old fisherman’s boat filled with sand, right on the beach.
Everyone is invited to bring their towels and swimming gear so that they can enjoy an after dinner swim in the sea.
